Korean People’s Army 2035
By 2035, the DPRK fits a unique position as a CSAT member with both large stocks of obselete technology as well as new equipment imported from other CSAT nations and their partners. The result of this is a generational gap in equipment which can be seen on the battlefield. While they may have recieved new-issue weapons and uniforms, the fighting style of the KPA is largely unchanged, with infantry being very under-equipped by Western standards. Furthermore, some CSAT hardware has not been exported to North Korea, such as advanced T-14 tanks and modern aircraft, meaning that older generations of equipment cannot be wholly replaced.
One way to use this faction: As a lower-tech counterpart to APEX Chinese forces.
Rifle: NCAR, imported from China.
SMG: PM-63
Machine Gun: PKM
Launchers: RPG-7, RPG-32, Vorona, 9K32M
Vest: Typically none; load-bearing vests may be worn by special forces. This is claimed to increase unit endurance in long-duration fighting.
Helmet: Basic Helmet. This has the same general shape as some helmets I’ve seen in reference images.
Armor: T-55, PT-76B, T-100, BMP-1, BRDM2, BTR60, BMP-T
Cars: Kamaz variants, UAZ variants
Planes: Iran-150 (I may make a Pook auxillary mod in the future)
Turrets: DShKM, SPG-9, 9K11, ZU-23-2, S-400 system
By the late 2020s, the DPRK found it would be unable to survive on its own with diminishing clandestine imports. As China, the superpower of CSAT shares a border with North Korea, an offer to join the alliance was made with the condition of a change in leadership. While this marginally improved the standing of the DPRK in the international community, little change was made in how the country was effectively run.
