More Accurate Trade Goods
It always bugged me that mineral resources were just as random as everything else, when their locations should be set hundreds of thousands to millions of years before the game starts. Instead, they are now in set locations using the latent trade good system.
In addition, trade goods have been adjusted throughout the world. You can now find resources in places they weren’t before (for example, dyes are now found scattered throughout Europe), and the Columbian Exchange is of greater importance – that means no coffee in America before contact, and Cacao can spring up in Africa after contact (for example).
