Description : After seeing the beta branch where you kind of need cargo for good mining, I thought I’d revisit my oldest designs to build up cargo’d variants. While I was at it, I thought I’d try a beefed up and armoured corvette again as I scraped my first one after the Benefit as it didn’t look good. So this does two things at once. A real beefy, cheap Corvette. Its power production is a little weak but there’s frameworks there for customizing however you want. It also rests at like 320 Processing power exactly after filling the frameworks so you can push it to a 4 slot by literally adding anything else to it if you wanted. I kept it 3 for consistency with class design, but I really pushed it to the limit.
Lore: Having relied upon the Benefit Class Corvette, a old Imperium design that was showing it’s age compared to some of the newer ships the WFL had developed since; a new Corvette ship was commissoined. Having no local defence alternatives to the Impact Class Destroyer on the cheap, the new ship employed a lot of the design philosophies of the Limen Class Cruiser cumulating in a well rounded modern alternative to the Benefit.
