Description:

Sorry for my English…

I create this mod because Garamantians are the only faction in the game that has been clearly botched: inaccurate historical representation and very few specific units.
In this mod I have worked on the first point, that is to say I give the Garamantians a more specific and accurate look. For specific units I recommend the Radious unit mod, which I used a little to reskin some of the vanilla units. By the way great thanks to the creators of this awesome mod.

What this mod does:
– Generals: they don’t look exactly the same as Axum’s ones anymore (especially generals level 2). In order to make this difference, I created 51 new generals variants which look more berber (shield, clohing, helmets, beards etc). Each of them corresponds to the correct vanilla portrait. I didn’t change vanilla portraits because I don’t have time and experience for that, but you will see that maintaining vanilla portraits is not shocking because new variants correspond exactly to the right vanilla portraits.
– Units: the 2 specific units (Garamantian lancers and Garamantian hunters) and the majority of desert units have been slightly reskined in order to represent the ethnic diversity of this faction. As I said this reskin is not obvious for those who don’t watch to the units carefully, but it took me time to do that because I wanted to be very accurate. Indeed, I did my best to respect the right percentage of each ethnic group. It allowed me not to change the fact that reskined desert units are the same for all desert factions. It has nothing to do with Garamantians, but Indian elephants and armoured Indian elephants are also slightly reskined.
– Visual bugs: you may have noticed that some helmets or clothing and some skins don’t match, especially when african skins are used. I used different means to fix that (and did the same for a few Axum units and generals).

The final result (anyway what I think) is that this mod brings more immersion while playing Garamantians.
Ideally I would have like to also add ethnic diversity to the generals but if I do so, vanilla portraits and new variants don’t match. The real thing is that this faction should have had a full specific roster at release …

It this my first mod for Attila TW, I hope you will appreciate it. Feel free to leave comments or feedback.
