Prospekt Defense (gm_prospektdefence)
Fight alongside (or just observe) the Combine as the Human rebels make a push into Nova Prospekt, following the success of Freeman’s campaign. The rebels are making use of pheropods to control the neighboring Antlion nest, so watch over your men, as they are quite susceptible to their strong attack! Rebels with RPGs will destroy thumpers and gun emplacements, and rebels with SMGs and AR2s will make their way into the pipe leading into Nova Prospekt, and it is up to you to prevent them from doing so!
This is a NPC fight map based off of Half-Life 2’s d2_coast_12 map, or the map right before breaching Nova Prospekt and right after you get the Bug Bait
This NPC map was started back when I was working on Arctic Defense, and while the broad concept of what I was trying to do fell into place perfectly, small and tiny details that bothered me ended up causing me to put development to the side. I picked it back up recently to keep GMod mapping interesting, an as such, have rectified all the qualms I had with the map, although I still feel it could have turned out better.
Check the pinned discussion down below for technical details and explanation of features of the map, as there is a lot going on in this map, and I didn’t want to fill the addon description with information that isn’t necessary.
NOTE: If Combine are attacking you and/or Rebels are still friendly, disable ALL other addons and test. With only this map enabled, I cannot reproduce any of the currently reported NPC issues, so it must be related to some other addon.
