Description:

"Change can pull us apart,
But Connection keeps us together"

Xerelow, The Triple Point Transformer, shifts the matter!

Use three states of matter and a wide array of specials to overwhelm your opponent, including a back special!

Xerelow, The Triple Point Transformer

Profile

As a child, Xerelow yearned to harness water in different states. When they came of age, they traveled the river that ran through their home, the Sparkling Ravine, across Aether. They studied the techniques of changing water’s state and the uses each had. Through rigorous practice, they learned to transform themselves into different states of water and utilized each one’s effects. Now, with Aether more strained than ever, they showcase the power and importance of three states of matter.
Xerelow represents the subelement of change/connection. Xerelow is confident in their ablities, but reserved and polite to others. They rarely back down for a challenge. They understand that success and failure are both useful for honing their skills further. Xerelow’s pretty graceful on the battlefield, always attacking with precision and poise. They’ve actually met most of the rivals outside of battle before, while traveling the world.
Xerelow’s extended lore can be found here[docs.google.com].

Elemental Powers
  • STATE CHANGE – Xerelow can change the state of water they embody between Liquid State (water), Solid State (ice), and Gas State (steam). Each State gives them different tools and properties they can use in battle.
  • HYDRO, CYRO, & VAPO ORB – With their back special, Xerelow can summon an orb they can interact with differently depending on the state they’re in.
  • PHASE CLASH – Xerelow combines their current and previous state to create a new attack! There are six in all.

Gimmicks
The States
Liquid State

Xerelow has increased momentum during attacks, allowing for extended range. Down Strong sends out waves, and Down Air is bigger and spikes.

Solid State

Xerelow’s movement and attacks are slower. However, they take decreased knockback and have stronger attacks. Up Strong has a sweet spot, and Up Air has super armor.

Gas State

Xerelow gains an extra jump and perform jump cancels out of their grounded attacks on hit. However, they are lighter and their strongs are weaker. Forward Strong has additional hitboxes for more damage, and Forward Air propels Xerelow backwards.

The Orb

Xerelow’s orb that they summon with Back Special can be interacted with in different ways, depending on the State they’re in. The orb can be placed anywhere by holding down the special button and moving. It will change States with Xerelow.

Hydro Orb

When Xerelow or the bubble created with their Forward Special comes in contact with it, they will become enhanced. Their next attack or the bubble will home in on the nearest opponent. The enhancement goes away after it is used, after a few seconds, when Xerelow gets hit, or when Xerelow switches States.

Cryo Orb

When Xerelow hits the orb with a strong attack, aerial, or Forward Special, it will fire five ice shards at different angles.

Vapo Orb

When an opponent or Forward Special comes in contact with it, it will explode, hitting multiple times.

Specials

Xerelow has a staggering 16 Specials! Here’s a rundown of each one.

#1 Neutral Special: State Change
