Tetiaroa is located 50 km north of Tahiti in French Polynesia. The atoll covers a total area of 6km2, or around 585 hectares of sand, divided into 13 islets.
Tetiaroa atoll, including the island of OneTahi, was taken by the Americans during the First World War.
Between the two World Wars, the chief of Tetiaroa decided to create a hotel to attract potential tourists.
However, by the outbreak of the Second World War, no tourists were allowed on the island.
Gradually, the island was taken over by the US Army, and OneTahi is now abandoned.

L’atoll d’Tetiaroa dont l’île de OneTahi ont été prises d’assaut par les Américains lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale.
Puis entre les deux Guerre Mondiale, le chef de Tetiaroa a décidé de créer un hôtel afin d’attirer de nombreux potentieles touristes.
Cependant dès le début de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, plus aucun touriste n’était autorisé a accéder à l’île.
Peu à peu l’île a été desserté par l’Armée Américaine et OneTahi est maintenant a l’abandon.
