The wrecker subsystem is the simplest one to understand. Any collision damage you cause will be increased greatly. Just scrape against the side of your enemies to deal great damage!
A boon for the simple thief, this subsystem will steal from anyone you somewhat brush against. Too unwieldy for you? Soften em up first. Rarer ones can even take goods and tech stowed away from scanners.
Too busy to refine scrap in your cargo bay and resources too tight to repair your ship? With the salvage repair subsystem, you can repair your hull with the very scraps you take from battle.
If you seek to turn your enemies into metal to fuel your quest to the center without needing to bother with specialized turrets, look no further. With this system, your hull shall be a great grinder for the quick scrap runs.
Shortly after the ‘Event’ that split the galaxy, a group of pirates known as the Grinders had a problem: Too many ships, not enough turrets. They had the bright idea to turn their ships into battering rams, and were successful in many hauls. Over time, their engineers decided to create subsystems to empower their preferred method of combat.
