Welcome to Tales of Auriga, originally created by Lily Black and IvyFetish. This is a standalone and the Original Tales of Auriga isn’t required. Definitely check out the original, it’s last update was for Endless Legend 1.3.5:

Originally, I just wanted to update Tales of Auriga but given that it was quite incomplete I decided to take the best part about it which was the brilliant idea of Outposts as another method of expansion. As well as his overhaul of the FIDSI city improvements to emphasize growing your cities and expanding slowly (other than by using the outposts.). For the moment I can’t take credit for any work, I’ve mostly just copied the original creations ideas and added nothing of my own except compatibility with new expansions.

Implemented Features:

-More robust and dangerous minor factions
-World quest: upgrading minor factions. The quest is working fine. On normal minor faction difficulty, I unlocked all technologies and fully equipped my units with high tier basic armor and the minor faction units were still on par on a unit by unit basis. Which means that eliminating them will remain a constant battle for the whole game.

-New Improvement: Outpost, Scientific Outpost, Economic Outpost, Military Outpost, Fortress Outpost, Allied Kingdom have been added and made unavailable to the Cultists, Mykara and Capitals (Might make all other buildings unavailable for convenience. Let me know your thoughts)

-Changes to existing Improvement: Added a number of Garrison slots including for Militia; increased xp per turn of certain military building; modified FIDSI buildings to slow expansion and emphasize growing cities rather than expanding (except through Outposts) and removed percentage FIDS. Full list of changes in discussion below.

-Independent Pillar Cost Increases, Pillars lasting longer
-Adjusted Stockpile values, Stockpile last longer

-Buffs/Debuffs lasting 6 rounds (the entire battle)

-Empire Plan Modified slightly: Empire and Expansions level 1 is now Expansion Disapproval Reduction instead of Vision on Units

To do:

-Rock-paper-scissors Slayer System (Not sure if I want to touch this because I still want to keep compatibility with Re-Items )

-Increase Max District Level

I have some ideas for Outpost Upgrades and Faction-Specific Outposts which I might get to if this gets a significant following. I’d also like to make the game more balanced by giving Cultists and Mykara a mechanic on par to the outposts since they can’t create settlers. Would also like to Give outposts special buildings to build to give your capital FIDS or other bonuses.
