Enchanted Arrows for Characters
In the wood elf 8th edition army book, Lords and Heroes equipped with bows had access to 6 different enchanted arrows, none of which are available to them in the base game. This mod allows Glade Captains and Glade Lords to take the three base game enchanted arrows (Hagbane, Swiftshiver and Starfire) if they spend skill points in the appropriate skill. Furthermore it brings in the three missing arrow types (Trueflight, Moonfire and Arcane Bodkins) which also can be gained by spending skill points in the appropriate skill. The first skill level can be taken as soon as a skill point is gained and grants Moonfire and Trueflight arrows, the second skill level can be taken at level 5 and grants Hagbane and Starfire arrows and the third skill point can be taken at level 10 and grants Arcane Bodkins and Swiftshiver arrows. All of the enchanted arrows are represented as followers. Of note is that they don’t apply effects to the characters weapons but replace them with different ones. This means that equipping multiple enchanted arrows to a single character does nothing. Since the AI is unable to handle the use of enchanted arrows, I have made it so that the AI will never take the skill that grants enchanted arrows.
- Increases AP missile damage of Glade Lords and Waystalkers to 122.
- Decreases base missile damage of Glade Lords and Waystalkers to 158.
- Increases AP missile damage of Glade Captains to 96.
- Decreases base missile damage of Glade Captains to 118.
- This is overall a buff as base missile damage gets replaced with AP missile damage which means more damage except against zero armor targets (which just have equal damage inflicted).
- The above list does not apply to Swiftshiver Shards and Arcane Bodkins.
- Shots become Flaming.
- Shots apply the Moonfire custom contact effect.
- Moonfire inflicts -30 Accuracy to enemies struck.
- Moonfire inflicts -20% Range to enemies struck.
- Moonfire inflicts +20% Reload time to enemies struck.
- Moonfire inflicts -90% Detection Range to enemies struck.
- Shots are more accurate and will home more than typical Glade Lord, Waystalker and Glade Captain arrows.
- Infinite tree grace period.
- +20 Range.
- Shots apply the Poisoned! contact effect.
- Shots become Flaming.
- Shots apply the Burnt contact effect.
- All missile damage becomes AP.
- Missile Strength becomes 229 for Glade Lords and Waystalkers.
- Missile Strength becomes 175 for Glade Captains.
- Decreases base missile damage for Glade Lords and Waystalkers to 145.
- Decreases base missile damage for Glade Captains to 96.
- -45 Range
- Shoots 2 arrows per volley.

This is the mod that inspired me to make the mod you’re looking at since his doesn’t have the same system for characters. While neither of these mods require the other, I think they are great complements for each other.

A submod for this one and Female Waystalkers, allowing the Female Waystalker added to take Enchanted Arrows and changes the Waystalker Enchanted Arrows to match the mods changes.
