[VJ] 2005 Tripod SNPC

Requires VJ BASE! Tripods will only walk or chase you in spacious AI NODED MAPS!

Check out DEDRAM’s Driveable Fighting Machine!

Features:
• Regular Tripod Soldier with only continuous heatray beams as its weapon
• Tripod Harvester with only grab you and put you into its cage
• Chases you (Happens only if you are on an ai-noded map that is not cluttered with millions of props)
• Movie accurate SFX + New SFX made by Kangabet
• Heatray weapons for the player
• Shields go down after a few minutes

Upcoming:
• Add orange juice coming out of Tripod Harvester dead body
• Add crouching for Tripod Harvester
• Add command to disable shields
• Make it walk on every map as possible
• Make Tripod Harvester put more humans into cage (Might by buggy AF but I’ll try)
• Probe
• Uberpod

No, there won’t be a new model, I don’t know where to get a new model and this model is the only model I know that exists in the source engine. No, there will be no new animations, just your normal strider animations. Stuff like throwing a grenade into the cage isn’t possible. I’ve tried.

Yes, I know there is only two types in the movie, which are Tripod and Uberpod. However, I missed the part where that’s my problem. I wanted to make it easier for the player to decide on how the Tripod attacks, so I split them into three. I am following this reddit post.
