Project Wingman Flags and Insignias
NOTICE: The above images of the F-14D are not skins as you normally find them in mods. The F-14D and F-16C are not included in this mod. Rather, those screenshots are examples of what you can accomplish using FIR AWS(AirWeaponSystem) to change the emblems on aircraft from Firewill’s workshop. To use those aircraft, check out Firewill’s mods. Those mods are by no means required for you to use these patches in-game.
Now, I made this mod because Firewill still hasn’t made any Project Wingman skins and this makes me very sad. Also I want to slap these insignias on infantry and other stuff like GM vehicles so I can do Project Wingman themed ops. Now I can do that!
How do you apply these emblems? Use the Firewill’s Missile Carrier AWS feature or other Firewill compatible object to access the customization menu. Using customization, apply the emblems as you see fit. For GM vehicles, apply them as you would change GM emblems normally. Look for the [PW] tag in both cases.
Canonical emblems and insignias are credited to Sector D2. I have included all available canonical emblems… at least until another update comes out. If that happens, this pack will be updated with new emblems as I can obtain them. Right now I’m still missing most emblems from the recent Frontline 59 expansion.
Anything near-canon enough to be included will be credited directly to the person who made it. To see who made an emblem, just check the description in-game. I feel like nobody reads these damn workshop descriptions anyway so I put the credits where you can’t possibly miss it. All emblems are, of course, used with direct permission by the creators. Yes even the ones from the game. The only fully fanon emblem in this pack is my own Ares Combat Escort Services (ACES) mercenary emblem.
A future mod pack might be created for all fanon insignias. This will be done at a later date. Or maybe not at all, because I’m lazy.
Seriously, why do ArmA units do this? We have the workshop. This isn’t the ArmA 2 days. Reuploading is obsolete. No you don’t save any load time you dopes, that’s a myth. You’re still loading a mountain of PBOs. I don’t give a damn if you’re making a mod pack for your ArmA unit. There is literally no good reason to do that unless I delete this mod completely, which is never going to happen. I’m the one with permission to upload this stuff. Not you, doofus!
