Description:

Latest update. Estonia is now in the Northern-European geographical region so the ahistorical Viking invasions of Estonia should not happen as back then they were part of the same culture zone. I am not fully certain if it works as intended.

Recent update: Estonian culture characters now have access to the pillage and varangian adventure dynasty legacies.

Balto-Finnic cultures have accurate ethnicity compositions and look Northern-European, Estonians and Finns use longships and Norse graphics instead of medieval cogs.

These design decisions are based on archaeological finds found in the region in the Iron Age and the Viking Age.
1. Genetic tests done on late Iron Age individuals show that the Finnics were stereotypical tall Northern-Europeans with extremely high percentages of light eyes and light hair.
2. Archaeologically the Viking Age jewellery, weapons, ships, settlements and harbours found in most of Estonia and coastal Finland were indistinguishable from the same archaeological finds in Eastern Scandinavia.

I have some simple yet impactful ideas which would make the Finnic region/North-Eastern Europe more historically accurate but I lack the modding knowledge to implement them. So I would gladly accept any help. 🙂
