Description:

‘Random Tag Switch’ is a special game mode in which you will change the nation you’re playing every 20 years (optionally you can choose to switch tags after your current monarch dies). You get to choose between three randomly selected countries (you can also always choose to stay a little bit longer with your current country). The time period after which you change your nation can be adjusted to 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 200 or 250 years.

After getting the event to change your current country you should pause the game and use the ‘ti’ console command which will remove terra incognita to see the current state of the countries you’re about to select. After choosing your next country you can use ‘ti’ again to re add terra incognita, and unpause the game.

Additional informations

-After starting a new game you will receive an event with a short description of this game mode which will set the default time period for a tag switch to 20 years.
-The terra incognita is a little buggy after changing nations. You can either wait several weeks to month (which sometimes doesn’t seem to work), use the ‘ti’ console command or save and reload to allow the terra incognita to update.
-Compatible with ‘Extended Timeline’ (a mod).
-Options are saved globally, so in multiplayer you would all switch after the same time (or if someone changes to tag switch after ruler death it would change for all players).
