Chitin
An update of Jaxon’s Insect Carapace mod. Renamed "Chitin" has new textures, description and tweaked stats, but functionality remain the same.
I stumbled across Jaxon’s old Insect Carapace mod while looking for a mod that could help with the aftermath of the infestation that hit my pawn’s settlement. Ideally I was looking for a mod that could allow the lone surviving spelopede to look after the hive if tamed, but does not look like one is available that does not also change other mechanics.
In any case, this mod cropped up on search, and I figured if I can not have Jelly on my doorstep, then I’d settle for skinning the bastards. Figured i would give the mod some love and re-release it.

The chitin was fine, honestly. But well, then I figured I may as well contribute something while I am at it right? So yeah now you have a selection of other equipment that can be crafted in addition to insect leather clothing. Have fun.
Flexible Chitin is used to make clothing – can be obtained from lesser insectoids
Chitin Plate is used to make Chitin armour – only obtained from megaspiders
Padded Leather is used to make Padded Leather armour, but that one is obvious. Must be crafted from leathers.
Dig Claws re dropped by spelopedes (read their creature info in game 😉
Ripper Blades are dropped by megaspiders (read their description too 😛
