Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte
The Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte was a proposed super-heavy tank concept by Nazi Germany during World War II. Designed by engineer Ferdinand Porsche, the Ratte was envisioned as an immense, heavily armored behemoth, weighing around 1,000 tons and measuring over 30 meters in length. It was intended to be equipped with multiple cannons and anti-aircraft guns, capable of dominating the battlefield.
However, the Ratte never progressed beyond the design phase, as its sheer size made it impractical for production and deployment. Additionally, the scarcity of resources and the advancing Allied forces further hindered its development. Despite its impressive specifications on paper, the Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte remains one of the most ambitious and unrealized military projects in history.
