About This Mod

Alien Hunters specific mod for smartly disabling Dark Events.

This mod is a stand-alone tool for recognizing when all alien rulers have been defeated, or when a specific alien ruler has been defeated, and disabling Dark Events that are no longer relevant.

Config Options
  • DarkEventsTiedToRulers: Basic list of Dark Events which need to be gated behind all Alien Rulers being defeated.
  • DarkEventsTiedToSpecificRuler: Allows a specific Dark Event to monitor a given Alien Ruler. Once that ruler has been defeated or it escapes the Dark Event will no longer appear.

Limitations
  • DarkEventsTiedToSpecificRuler: A single Dark Event can ONLY track a single Alien Ruler. I may in the future add an enhancement to allow a Dark Event to track more than one, but we will see.

Compatibility

F.A.Q.
  • Q: I disabled a Dark Event using Dark Event Manager after it has spawned into my game! Why is it still there?
  • A: Dark Event Manager just modifies the Can Activate criteria of a Dark Event, meaning that when the game goes to add new Dark Events to the list it will ignore the ones that Dark Event Manager disabled. Once it has been added as an active Dark Event, there is nothing that can be done except wait for it to go away on its own.
