Himeji Castle (with Shikkui Walls) (World Wonder)

Himeji Castle is one of the most preserved Japanese castle. Its exterior walls are coated with snow-white shikkui (Japanese traditional lime plaster made of materials like slaked lime and shells), and its shape resembles that of an heron spreading its wings, earning it the honorable reputation of "White Heron Castle". Originally built in the 14th century, the castle was rebuilt by daimyos like Kuroda Yoshitaka and Ikeda Terumasa during the Sengoku period, and many defensive designs were added like maze-like roads and finely arranged arrow towers, but the castle was never tested in battle as the Sengoku period came to an end. Himeji Castle survived the fires of the Meiji period and the air raids of World War II without suffering any major damage to the city itself, and the "Warless Castle" embraces the dawn of the new era, accompanied by its many legends, such as Osakabe-hime hidden in the castle and the kaidan (ghost story) of Banshu Sarayashiki.
Grants free Ancient Walls, Medieval Walls and the Shikkui Walls unique building in all cities. Provides the same defensive bonuses as the Fort improvement. Must be built adjacent to the City Center. +2 Amenities +6 Gold Unlocked at the Gunpowder technology.
A building that replaces the Renaissance Walls, unique to the civilization with the Himeji Castle wonder. Higher outer defenses than the Renaissance Walls it replaces. +4 Faith and contains a Great Work slot. +4 Culture and +4 Tourism if adjacent to any wonder.
Supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
The Shikkui Walls may have minor graphical glitches and anti-synergy with Georgia’s Tsikhe (just like Secret Society unlocked buildings will replace civilization unique building). If you want a more classical effect, you may consider also try out another variant of Himeji Castle made by IthildinX, who also provided assitance in importing this wonder model.
