Lyetzi’s Gunners Mod – Movement Penalty Removal
Basically, this mod was developed for people to use in order to remove that annoying movement penalty from "Lyetzi’s Gunners Mod – Episode Zero." This penalty was to be replaced with a better system in update 1.1, but as most of us know, the mod author disappeared before we could get that update. This is the next best thing.
– Complete removal of all base gun weight effects.
– Removal of the "Cautious" status effect and it’s different versions.
– (WIP) Reworked descriptions to remove references to Gun Weight.
This mod is not meant to steal or reuse anything from the Gunners Mod. It simply edits all the guns to include use the Handgun weight files instead of their normally assigned. ALL CREDIT GOES TO THE ORIGINAL MOD AUTHOR.
That being said, it’s quite obvious that "Lyetzi’s Gunners Mod – Episode Zero" to actually work, as it patches those files. It might crash without it, but I have yet to test that.
This mod basically uses the ".patch" method of replacing lines of text. This method allowed me to set up a connection to the Handgun weight script, which has a value of 1.0 compared to the others values of <1.0. This allowed me to basically disable the movement penalty on all guns.
Hubnester – Teaching me how to patch and explaining what to do.
Dr. Wasabi – Actually providing the information to allow for a patch and giving me the string of code I needed.
Mustard – Assisting in telling me what I did wrong and informing me how to fix it.

Usehi – Creating this amazing mod and allowing the people of Starbound to use modern, realistic firearms in space. Your mod has been an amazing treat to be blessed with. I hope you manage to recover soon, we are all waiting eagerly to welcome you back with open arms.
