Description:

Lite Version:
This mod is a Lite version of Mighty Healthy featuring base health buffs per Tier only, and at a reduced amount than the base mod.
The base mod can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3234018206

Goal:
As the game proceeds from mid to late game there’s a significant drop off in the usefulness of low tier units. Combine this with the limit of 3 stacks per combat and the late game can devolve into a rush to build the strongest trio of stacks and send them round to smash everything.

While I believe higher Tier units should be significantly stronger than their low Tier counterparts, I think the ability of a TIII unit to delete a TI unit in a single turn is maybe a little too much.

To combat this, the bonus health given to a unit based on its Tier has been adjusted.
Note that the bonus health based on Culture, Experience, Type, and Subtype is untouched and will still be applied providing diversity between units of the same Tier.

Tier I Bonus Health: from +5 to +15
Tier II Bonus Health: from +15 to +30
Tier III Bonus Health: from +35 to +45
Tier IV Bonus Health: from +55 to +60
Tier V Bonus Health: from +75 to +75 (unchanged)
Hero Bonus Health: unchanged by this mod

Note that for each Tier increase the unit also gains +1 Defense and +1 Resistance, thereby increasing effective health of each Tier also.
This has not been changed by this mod.

Note that for each experience level a unit also receives a health bonus based on Tier.
Note that this health bonus will be made equal once the Mystic update goes live (June 18th) which will result in further decreases to power difference between Tiers.
The level up health bonus has not been changed by this mod.

What do the changes mean for balance?
Probably a number of things not limited to, but including:
– Increased power of morale damaging abilities
– Longer combat
– Reduced effectiveness of damage spells in deleting units
– Greater reliance on damage bonuses such as flanking and giant slayer
– Reduced effectiveness of healing spells based on larger health pools
– Increased performance of status effects due to increased duration of combat
– Greater success with varied armies comprised of units from multiple tiers
– Improved survivability of evolving units – for better or worse
– Inaccuracies with auto-combat predictions (may work on tweaking these values in the future)
– Improved performance of units of all Tiers up to Tier IV, with significantly better performance for the lowest Tier units.
– Heroes are slightly less effective due to increased health of other units.

Please note this is experimental for now, and can/will be tweaked down the track for balance with further playtesting.
This mod has been updated to suit the balance changes that will be implemented to the base game during the next update (Mystic update).

This mod won’t be compatible with any other mod that changes the same entries, but should be compatible with most other unit mods including those that modify unit level up bonuses by unit tier or type.
Only the Base Game is required.
This mod is compatible with all base game Languages.
