Hello and welcome to my new mod, Quezon Republic. This mod explores on the question of: What if the island nation of the Philippines had the same political situation as Weimar Germany? All the paramilitaries, the skirmishes on the streets, etc. etc. This mod is based on a joke I made months ago about if Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. won the 2022 election (which he actually did he’s the president rn by the time I’m writing this), He would use the national bank’s money to make his own Sturmabteilung or Schutzstaffel. Then I expanded on that joke and now we got this.
here’s some lore for this timeline I made:
Backstory:
It was the Philippine election season and the political climate has become more dangerous as the days went by as the candidates are desparate to stop Marcos from winning the election and Marcos fearing that his security is compromised as the climate’s becoming more violent; the candidates’ supporters (with the blessing of their chosen candidates) started forming paramilitary organizations like: the NSSD(new society storm detachment) and the LF(liberal front[aka pinkshirts]) and the paramilitaries have started skirmishes on the country(there were other paramilitary factions but the NSSD and the LF are the most significant). The elections have arrived and the result has been clear that Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has won but then the opposition got mad that he won the election and they and their respected paramilitaries declared war on Marcos jr. and his NSSD storm troopers leading the philippines into civil war. years went on as the civil war got heated; the remnants of the philippine government and the philippine armed forces have reformed themselves into the Free Corps dedicating themselves into destroying all the paramilitary organizations and bring back the country to it’s former glory. Who wins this war is up to you. So go now and fight for the future of the Philippines.
Factions:
New Society Storm Detachment:
created by Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos jr. after being anxious about his security during the election (due to how many assassination attempts he has experienced) so he formed the NSSD. They’re comprised of his and duterte’s most diehard supporters.
Liberal Front:
created by Lenora "Leni" Robredo and Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan as a response to Bongbong Marcos winning the election. they’re comprised of leni and the liberal party’s most diehard supporters.
Free Corps of the Philippines:
The 2 paramilitaries (NSSD and LF) have been at war with each other for years. So remnants of the philippine government and the philippine armed forces (Remnants cuz they were mostly killed off by the NSSD after Marcos won) created the Free Corps of the Philippines. Headed by Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso, they’re dedicated to destroying both sides of the war and try to rebuild the nation they once knew.
