Reasonable Murder: More Murders Count as Crimes
This mod makes more schemed murders (such as vassal murder, ally murder and murder of close relations) count as crimes punishable by death. It also makes the murderer trait a crime. Nothing more, nothing less. Simple, no?
It always bothered my that you could basically murder anyone but the close family of your liege without notable consequences, unless of course, you count the opinion debuff.
With this mod, murdering any vassal (even courtiers) or ally of your liege is a crime, punishable by imprisonment, banishment and death. Likewise, murdering a friend or lover of your liege warrants the same punishments.
- Murderer trait is now a crime (imprisonment only)
- Ally Murder is now a crime (imprisonment/banishment/execution)
- Vassal Murder (including courtiers) is now a crime (imprisonment/banishment/execution)
- Murder of Close Relations is now a crime (imprisonment/banishment/execution)
- Rightful imprisonment rewards legitimacy, as well as opinion buffs and maluses
AI Mechanics
- AI rulers will imprison more criminals
- Honourable AI rulers will imprison vassal murderers
About the AI Mechanics: Apparently the [vanilla] imprison interaction has been bugged since release, so these features are kind of already in the game, although not intentionally. Vanilla AI mechanics were fixed with the release of game version 1.13 (Basileus).
