Welcome to Elemental Tomes! This is a small submod that aims to act as a compliment to the vanilla game and fill in some of the holes left in the vanilla game, namely the lack of a Tier 1 Water Tome, and a High Tier Fire Tome. While this mod overhauls the Tier 4 Chaos Tomes and redistributes their skills, no skills have been lost.

Details:
This mod adds an updated version of the Tome of Tides as a Tier 1 Water Tome, complete with a unique Ascension Perk. The tome is now a pure Nature Affinity tome to match the Tome of the Stormborne’s affinity. The tome has been re-themed and now features some updated art.

The Tier 4 Chaos Tomes have also been overhauled and restructured. The Tome of the Demon Gate features new art and now has the Demonic Focus and Infernal Legion (a re-theme of the Golden Horde skill which felt otherwise out of place).

The Tome of Chaos Channeling is dead, and has been remade into the Tome of the Inferno, now featuring Abyssal Flames, Fan the Inferno, Scion of Flame, Sacrificial Flame (a re-theme of Sacrifical Slaughter) and a brand new skill: the Ashen Vestal. It also adds Pillar of Fire to the Tome of Pyromancy.

The mod also includes some minor tweaks including: stat tweaks to the Tide Elementals so they are consistent with the Tome of Tides, setting Nimue to use the Tome of Tides as her Tier 1 Tome, and tweaked visuals for the Scion of Flames and Frostling transformations. Both the Pyromancer and Ashen Vestal will now use the Scion of Flame visuals, so this transformation is foreshadowed (like how the Witch Witch foreshadows the Frostling Transformation).

This mod has built-in support for Unit Lore & Miscellany if placed BELOW it in your load order.

1. Why is the Tome of Tides a pure nature tome?

In vanilla Age of Wonders IV, pretty much every water bonuses effect is associated with the Nature Affinity. Thus, the Tome of Tides has been changed, and slightly re-themed to be focused on harnessing the magical and natural powers of the tides themselves.
