China Power Bloc

China Power Bloc (CPB) is a mod that adds a power bloc identity and principle group to represent the rather unique situation China was in up until the dawn of the 20th century where it received "tribute" missions from various countries in Asia.

CPB does three main things:

• Add a new Chinese Tributary System bloc identity and Sinocentric Hegemony principles
• Add new power bloc emblem assets to allow for a unique power bloc emblem for China (but any country may use them!)
• Create a power bloc with the above items for China at game start, which includes all the countries that China was historically still regularly welcoming missions from by 1836.

CPB also comes with special logic to make China’s bloc dissolve once China shatters. Any Chinese country that forms as a result of the shattering can recreate the bloc if they reclaim enough of China.

The default name of China’s bloc is "Cèfēng Tizhì", but if you prefer, this can be switched with the more conventional "Cháogòng Tixì" via a game rule.

There may be an issue with the bloc shattering logic when using this mod in multiplayer – use at your own caution!

CPB overwrites the vanilla file:

in order to add the custom emblem for China. Mods that also overwrite this file will need a compatibility patch for proper functionality, but missing the emblem will not break the other parts of the mod (it just means China’s bloc emblem will be some randomly generated default one).

CPB also overwrites the can_lead_power_bloc scripted rule to allow unrecognized majors to form and lead power blocs (else creating one would be buggy), and to implement part of the bloc-dissolving logic for China. This change has been implemented in a way that makes it compatible with the Community Mod Framework mod.

CPB does not touch any other vanilla files and defines everything else it needs in its own files, so all other mods should work.

This mod works alone and may be placed anywhere.

This mod does not rely on any DLC features, so you should not need any DLCs.
