Always Strikes First
This little mod adds an interpretation of Always Strikes First passive ability from the table top Warhammer Fantasy battle.
I say interpretation because there is no initiative in Warhammer Total War. Units strike and units with high initiative don’t tend to strike any faster than the others. We could cheat a bit and give high elves longer reach, but that’s not exactly the same thing as what Legolas does in one of the greatest fantasy movies ever, and really that’s what we are after: someone who seizes the initiative.
The passive is represented as a +4 MA and +1 AP damage, 15 second duration buff to Always Strikes First units whenever a fight erupts. That’s it. This affects elves who are charging as well as being charged. This affects elves who are charging units who have charge defense all. It’s first strike babe.
Units included: Wood Elves, Dark Elves, and High Elves. *
