Configuration Philosophy

My approach to creating configurations follows the 3 Cs:

  • Clarity: The configuration serves its intended purpose effectively.
  • Conciseness: Uses the minimum necessary collection of mods.
  • Consistency: Maintains a cohesive aesthetic, features, and balance across all mods.

Major Updates
General
  • Now includes the latest additions to the Helldivers workshop.
  • Factions are balanced to ensure Helldivers remain consistently stronger. Recommended to fight while outnumbered for an authentic Helldiver experience!

Helldivers
  • Expanded and improved array of weapons.
  • Incorporates both Hawk and Falcon weaponry from the Vanilla+ weapon packs, alongside new blasters.

Terminid Overhaul
  • Terminids are now completely overhauled.
  • Replaced the previously giant cockroaches with Arknights Seaborn as makeshift terminids.
  • Preconfigured class system for balanced gameplay, featuring a variety of melee, ranged, large, small, slow, fast, and other creatures.
  • Notable features include a class that can attack and flip your vehicles.
  • Introduces massive alien creatures as vehicles, such as massive floating jellyfishes attacking your gunships and flying bugs for unlikely dogfights.

Automaton Balance
  • Automaton weaponry is now balanced and more accurate to the game.
  • Automatons now use blaster weapons instead of bullet rifles.
  • Simplified Automaton vehicles to include only mechs and blaster turrets.
  • Due to the lack of satisfying mods, a consistent Automaton vehicle array is not yet available.

Seaborns

The Seaborns are formidable aquatic entities with lethal adaptations and primal instincts. Unlike the Automatons, most Seaborns rely on natural appendages like claws and tentacles to engage helldivers in close combat, though some units possess formidable long-range attacks. Seaborns excel in rapidly closing distances, often surrounding their targets to overwhelm them. This necessitates constant vigilance from Helldivers to maintain safe distances. Equipment specializing in close-range combat and crowd control proves most effective against the Seaborn faction.

Unit Profiles:
  1. Pocket Sea Crawler
    • Resembling spiders, these agile terrors move swiftly on the ground. Their transparent shells expose inner impurities.

  2. Deep Sea Slider
    • Walking akin to sea lilies, these units are robust with root-like appendages.

  3. Ridge Sea Spitter
    • Similar to Deep Sea Sliders but capable of launching high-velocity liquid projectiles.

  4. Basin Sea Reaper
    • Larger and more menacing than Deep Sea Sliders, featuring mantis-like arms and a blooming head.

  5. Primal Sea Piercer
    • Resembling Basin Sea Reapers but armed with spear-like protrusions on their heads.

  6. Pathshaper
    • A hulking bipedal Seaborn with a dark body accented in glowing blue, featuring horn-like protrusions and vine-like tentacles on its head, capable of attacking and flipping vehicles.
