Description:

Chevrolet and GMC completely overhauled their C/K pickup truck lines in 1973, with the introduction of the "square-body" trucks. The general cab design and layout would continue to be used for close to two decades – with cosmetic and mechanical updates of course. The C-series trucks were 2WD, while the K-series trucks were 4WD. While the K-series trucks stopped at the K30, there were much larger C-series trucks that reached into the medium duty range. The C/K 20 and 30 were offered with big block petrol engines and a slow Oldsmobile diesel motor.

My rendition of the K30 C&C is generally pretty accurate in most areas, and features a nice variety of details. Realistic-looking side rails, badging, company logos, underside, wrecker upfit, all-around clearance lights, and wheels with a faked "8 lug" setup are included. Despite having a 4WD drivetrain, a tow truck such as this is really more at home on the pavement or on some light trails. Its engine is also slightly detuned, resulting in a slightly lower top speed.

Based off of GC’s 1973 Suburban. This model is quite old at this point which explains the lack of opening doors and such. The vehicle was extensively modified and rebuilt, and explicit permission from GC was obtained before release.
