SSL Riesbyfe
Riesbyfe Stridberg, Melty Blood’s shield-wielding knight of the Holy Church, comes to overpower her opponents with her defensive might, in SSL form. Despite her slow speed, her heavy weight and her trusty cello-shaped pilebunker shield, Gamaliel, can let her withstand almost any attack, and retaliate with greater force.
Riesbyfe’s Neutral Attack, Wrist Portato, is a shield bash in front of her. It blocks all attacks from the front while the shield is held out. When an attack strikes Riesbyfe’s shield, she can input forwards or backwards to quickly dash out of the move, allowing fast retaliation or repositioning. This attack can be held to extend the duration that it blocks for, but be careful to not get caught off-guard and attacked from behind.
Her grounded Forward Attack is Wrist Staccato, a powerful explosive punch in front of her. It boasts strong KO power, but leaves her wide open if it whiffs.
Her aerial Down Attack is a signature Melty Blood air grab. The initial grab comes out quickly, though it has short range. Once she grabs someone, Riesbyfe will flip around and slam them with her shield, spiking them downwards.
