ZUN’s Music Collection
The fifth and final mod in the pentalogy. The titular collection is a compilation of Touhou arrangements and original tracks created by none other than the chief priest ZUN himself. These albums often come with a short story and, from the 2nd volume onwards, focus on the Secret Sealing Club. Although the stories take place in a less supernatural setting, they are some of the darkest parts of Touhou lore. The songs themselves are also quite eerie, with a touch of nostalgia. Buuuuuuut we aren’t here for that, we are here to stare at maps and systematically cull the native Americans to bullet-hell music. That being said, the soundtracks don’t exactly accommodate strategy games so subscribe to the mod at your peril. Just note that the DiPP album in particular may sound a little strange in-game due to the way it’s been tuned and altered to play properly in EU4.
Life has caught up with me and I’m feeling pretty burnt out with vidya in general so this may or may not be the last thing I make for a long while. Anyway, given the nature of these mods it’s rather unlikely that any future updates will break them but should that happen, feel free to update and tailor them to your liking.
As with many other music mods for the game, it is Ironman-compatible. And by the way, don’t forget to give Touhou Universalis a try!
