Sounds of the Infected [MANUAL INSTALLATION]
Thanks to Zenith for giving me the authorization to repost the mod. The reason I did so is to make sure people don’t download the original TLOU Infected when downloading the old sound mod but overall it’s the same mod and all credit for the sounds goes to Zenith.
Sounds need to be installed client side by each players. Installing the sounds on the server itself is useless.
- Download the Sounds of the Infected mod.
- Go to (May vary depending on your steam folder and game installation disk)

- Copy ZomboidSound.bank
- Go to

—-/Users/user/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid/Project Zomboid.app/Contents/Java/media/sound/banks - Make a backup of ZomboidSound.bank in the game’s folder if you want to easy change back to the vanilla sounds of the zombies
- Replace ZomboidSound.bank with the mod’s version of it
To uninstall the sounds, you either have to replace the sounds with a backup or verify game files to reset your game files.
If you have problems with downloading the sounds from the Workshop (this can happen sometimes as the file is very heavy), you can get the file from the Discord:
- Join the Project Overgrown Discord[discord.gg]
- Access the channel sounds-of-the-infected[discord.com]
- Download the files from the mega link in the channel
