The Dassault Rafale is a French twin-engine, canard delta wing, multirole fighter aircraft designed and built by Dassault Aviation. Equipped with a wide range of weapons, the Rafale is intended to perform air supremacy, interdiction, aerial reconnaissance, ground support, in-depth strike, anti-ship strike and nuclear deterrence missions.

How to use
Flight Control System

STAB = gyroscope
APLT = auto pilot
AALT = auto altitude
LANDING = look after

Click on > to have more control/info

You can save multiple waypoint (x,y,altitude) on the autopilot. the auto altitude will follow the altitude saved in the autopilot. If no waypoint are aviable the autopilot will use the values from the keypads.

Taxi

The engine is weak at low power, push the throttle to 50% to start moving.

Landing

– Enable the flight control system and click on "landing". It will automaticaly set the throttle to stay at a low speed.
You can use up/down to increase/decrease the target speed.
– Drop the landing gear (left pannel).
– Press 6 to open air brakes.
– Press 5 to lower the tailhook.
– Ajust the pitch to get smoothly to the ground.
– The jet will stop by itself.

Transponder

Click anywhere to center the map on the clicked coordinate.
Click on + to zoom in.
Click on – to zoom out.
Click on c to recenter the map on the transponder coordinate.
Click on ! to enable/disable the transponder (it will not send data but still receive them)

Hardpoints

You can select 2 type of payload at the same time, press the I or II button to change one of them. Press 1 or 2 to drop them.
To select any type of payload use the middle left/right arrows (Only aviable payload are selectable).

You can select a single hardpoint connector using it’s ID (from 1 to 7 starting to the left). If the system is not armed pressing 2 will drop the payload. If the system is armed it will launch the hardpoint.

This system will automaticaly select which hardpoint will be launched next.

The "CTR" button will be enabled by controlable payload (camera, winch etc…). The system will show a video created by the payload and will send to it where you click on the display.

Notes
  • The plane will pitch down when fully loaded and up when unloaded.
