Description:
Features
  1. Added a few game options to disable some game elements.
  2. Each ban of an element is configurable for each game. No need to head to mod manager and disable / enable something.

No Religions

This mode is NOT automatically on by disabling Religious Victory, just in case you still wish to play with Religions without the victory type.

  1. Mutually exclusive with "Religious Victory".
  2. Cannot create Pantheons and Religions. Cannot hire Great Prophets.
  3. Religion lens and religion view removed.
  4. Holy Sites and Faith are still there, but Prayer city project is removed. Faith’s primary usage now is to buy Great People.
  5. World Wonders, Civilizations and Leaders becoming completely pointless receive new features. See discussions for details.

No Space Race

This mode is automatically turned on if Technological Victory is disabled and is not optional.

  1. All space race projects are removed, except for Launch Earth Satellite, which is still useful to reveal the map.
  2. The Spaceport district is removed. Launch Earth Satellite and Train Astronauts projects are now performed at City Center.

No Tourism

This mode is automatically turned on if Cultural Victory is disabled and is not optional.

  1. Tourism removed from top panel. Tourism lens removed. All vanilla sources of Tourism are neutered.
  2. Rock Bands are removed from the game.
  3. Vanilla policy cards that become pointless (+X% Tourism etc.) are trashed.

No World Congress

This mode is NOT automatically on by disabling Diplomatic Victory, just in case you wish to sabotage the AI’s internal affairs while having Diplomatic Victory disabled.

  1. Mutually exclusive with "Diplomatic Victory".
  2. The World Congress will never occur and no Emergencies will happen.
  3. Diplomatic Favor removed from top panel. All vanilla sources of Diplomatic Favor are neutered.

No Golden and Dark Eras
  1. Mutually exclusive with "Dramatic Age" game mode.
  2. Golden Age and Dark Age mechanism is disabled, while Simon Polivar and Secret Society can function as normal.
  3. World Wonders becoming pointless receive new features.
  4. The end turn button is locked at normal age style. Era score container and golden age meter are hidden.

Anti Uselessness

There are several Technologies and Civics that does nothing if some victory types are disabled. This module grants them some effects. Note that these effects are active even if their respective victory types are not disabled, and this module is not optional, because otherwise I’m encouring people to play with these victory types disabled, which is not desired.

  1. Tech: Nanotechnology:
    (Does nothing if Science Victory is disabled.)
    Fighter flight range +2; Bomber flight range +4.
  2. (GS) Tech: Offworld Mission:
    (Does nothing if Science Victory is disabled.)
    All land and naval units sight range +1, and attack range +1 if it has a ranged attack.
  3. Civic: Space Race:
    (Does nothing if both Science and Culture Victory are disabled.)
    All units sight range +1.
  4. (GS) Civic: Cultural Hegemony
    (Doesn’t do much if Culture Victory is disabled.)
    Monuments gain 3 slots for Great Works of any kind.
  5. (GS) Civic: Smart Power Doctrine
    (Doesn’t do much if Culture Victory is disabled.)
    All cities gain +2 Loyalty per turn.
  6. (GS) Civic: Exodus Imperative:
    (Does nothing if both Science and Culture Victory are disabled.)
    +30% Production to City Projects.

Localization

Mod is localized for English and Chinese. Other languages have English texts instead. The files can be found here.

Compatibility
  • No Religions mode has altered some civilizations and leaders who become pointless by giving them brand new abilities. If they are reworked by another mod too, they are likely to conflict together.
    – Arabian (civ ability and leader Saladin’s ability)
    – Byzantine (civ ability and leader Basil II’s ability)
    – Georgian (leader Tamar’s ability)
    – Indian (civ ability and leader Ghandi’s ability)
    – Kongolese (leader Mvenba’s ability)
    – Spanish (leader Philip II’s ability and unique unit Conquistador’s ability)
  • No Religions mode has altered some wonders that become completely pointless. If they are reworked by another mod too, they are likely to conflict together. I believe it’s still better than to delete them outright.

    – Mahadodhi Temple
    – Kotoku-in
    – Mont St. Michel
    – Hagia Sophia
    – Meenakshi Temple
  • Other game modes don’t touch much in vanilla. If you are paranoid, head to discussions and check details if both mod altered a same vanilla item.
  • Will consider to post an add-on including vanilla changes and leave this mod mechanism disabler only, to maximize mod compatibility.
