Crossbow Scope Redone
In the December 2017 Black Mesa update, the crossbow scope was updated to remove the original render-to-texture scope. This was done for a myriad of reasons but its replacement was a baked texture of the viewmodel from behind. This would be okay — if the scope texture shipped with the update wasn’t so ugly.
This replaces it with a much nicer looking texture made from a render. Aside from the view area being smaller, functionally this is no different from the regular texture. I just think my version looks better, and since you’re here, maybe you do as well.

* Crossbow scope isn’t ugly anymore. Yay.
Note:
The crossbow doesn’t respond to light when viewing the scope. This is because it is a texture overlay and this particular overlay lacks normal maps. There is nothing that I or anyone but Crowbar Collective can do about this. The regular scope texture in the vanilla game doesn’t respond to light either, bare in mind.
