Castle Town – Kanade
Adds Castle Town led by Sakurada Kanade from the Castle Town Dandelion Anime/Manga, which does not conflict with Divine Yuri’s Sakurada Akane’s Castle Town or Aoi’s.
Requires Brave New World.
Kanade’s Castle Town is a civilization specialized in Gold purchases, using Gold as an way to acquire other civilizations’ unique buildings and units, which in turn compensate for Kanade’s lack of direct military or growth/science/production bonuses.
Cities yield 3 additional Gold. Gold Purchases have a 67% chance of converting the said unit into a random unique unit/building of the same class. Gold purchased units may take action on the turn it was purchased.
I have removed the building portion of the UA as it has proven extremely problematic especially when combined with Kaguya’s Eientei mod. It may come back eventually, but not before my other projects are completed.
Replaces the Great Engineer and Merchant. Has access to abilities of both the Engineer and the Merchant, and yields gold that scales with era when spent.
Unlocked at Architecture. Causes the unit garrisoned inside to gain 50% bonus defensive strength. Causes enemy units of the owner of the tile that move adjacent to it to lose all movement points, although the improved tile itself is exempt even if another Shock Absorption Fortress is adjacent to the said tile.
Kanade is much more competitive than Aoi who came before her, and can prove to be aggressive. While Kanade is a deceptive character, Kanade is also fairly loyal and friendly as well. Kanade will prioritize Diplomatic victory, trying to befriend many city-states, build a few wonders, and will focus primarily gold, science and infrastructure. Kanade is also much more expansionist than Aoi.

NOTE: This civilization was released through a workaround 7-Zip Compression instead of the ModBuddy’s default compression due to the MSB4018 error. If the civilization will not unzip or install, manually download the .civ5mod file through Steam Downloader (or find it in the Mods folder), change the file format to ZIP, and then use AlZip, WinZip, 7-Zip or any other unzipping program and unzip the content to the Mod folder. However, WinRar doesn’t work, and if any unzipping programs do not work, try either AlZip or 7-Zip, which have been tested and proven to work.
Castle Town Dandelion is owned by Kasuga Ayumu, and all assets belong to respective owners. Credit is given in the Credits.txt file, and no profit is sought from the creation of the mod. This mod is for enjoyment only.
