Fire Emblem – Azura’s Valla

Adds the Valla civilization led by Azura, based on the Fire Emblem Fates game.

Azura’s Vallite nation may not have the administrative potential of some of the other civs, but makes up for that with its versatile Songstress unique units.

Free Songstress Unit at discovery of Drama and Poetry. Enacting a social policy grants a small lump sum of food to all cities.

Replaces the Great General. In addition to the effect of the Great General, Songstresses also possess Great Admiral abilities, and has the ability to recharge the movement points of adjacent units. Each unit may benefit from this ability once per turn, and Songstresses and Divas are not affected by this ability. Songstresses may also conduct Concert Tours.

Upgraded form of Songstresses unlocked at Acoustics. Divas are combat units whose combat strength scales with era (although its combat strength is less than a contemporary melee unit). They may pick special promotions which provides additional utilities to the Sing abilitiy. Divas may also conduct trade missions and may even take control of city-states much like the Merchant of Venice.

Replaces the Opera House. Unlocked at Drama and Poetry instead of Acoustics and cheaper (200->125). Retains the default bonuses of the Opera House, and also causes lakes to yield +1 Food, Production, and Culture.

Azura is generally a pacifist who rarely is conscious about competition. Azura is easy to intimidate but also likely to be guarded as well. Azura may not be Serra-level happy to befriend civilizations, but Azura is not difficult to befriend. Azura as an AI will prefer non-domination victories, and prefers to make a tall empire rather than a wide one. As a leader who likes to make the few (often coastal) cities founded into efficient, well-operating ones, Azura will often invest in workers and will particularly favor specialist buildings.

NOTE: This civilization was released through a workaround 7-Zip Compression instead of the ModBuddy’s default compression due to the MSB4018 error. If the civilization will not unzip or install, manually download the .civ5mod file through Steam Downloader, change the file format to ZIP, and then use AlZip or 7-Zip and unzip the content to the Mod folder.
