So dear Comrade!
It feels like we are finally suceeding!
We are about to grab a foothold on Mars!
As you can see you have been granted a nice sum of rubles and, well, also some foreign start money.
It could prove useful after all for trading with those private western companies.

As international lawmaking is slow as ever, you are free to claim any territory you like and exploit any resources you wish!
If you need any supplies you can’t produce yourself, we will surely be able to provide you with all materials you need.
But you will have to pay for transportation, as, well, getting supplies to Mars isn’t cheap, you know?
Of course you also might be able to pull of some nice trades with private companies who also landed their rockets nearby or even launch your own.

Oh, and please remember to prepare for the duststorms! They might cover the sun for months, which will also lead to a drop in temperature and no crop production.

Notes:

– Snow/winter has been replaced by "dust/duststorms". This only affects cosmetics, gameplay is still the same!
– For roleplaying reasons don’t build inside the "outposts" or steal their vehicles.
(Of course you are free to incorporate these actions into your roleplay if you wish to, or don’t roleplay at all!)
– Outposts support import and export through their respective customs houses
– Low to very low resources: Aluminium above 30%, Iron up to 30%, Uranium under 30%, Oil under 20%, Coal under 10%
– No forests: Terraforming isn’t that advanced yet, plant your own!
– Craters, mountains, canyons, flatlands: A hole new planet!
– (Think about using easy money settings, might be very challenging otherwise)

[IMPORTANT] Technical Notes:

– All changes are optical, rocket mod included for immersion. Choose your own futuristic mods!
– For full visual support you have to (if you are not using seasons you can skip to step 3!):
1. Place the .mtl files from the "MarsTrees" folder (located in the mod folder) into …SovietRepublicmedia_soviettrees
Important note: Backup your "trees" folder. This change will overwrite the look of all trees of ANY MAP in winter!
2. Replace the "grass2_snow.dds" from …SovietRepublicmedia_soviettiles_normal with the "grass2_snow.dds" from the mod folder
Important note: Backup your "tiles_normal" folder. This change will overwrite the look of snow of ANY MAP in winter!
3. disable grass in games graphics setting!
– Trees at a distance will still look like they are covered by normal snow, I didn’t find a workaround yet.

– If anybody wants to try something similar, look in the mod files to see what I did, or contact me if you wish!
– Also, if there is a big enough request I might look into this map for improvements, but for now it’s just a showcase.
