Description:

La Paix Fragile is an alternate reality scenario where Napoleon was never defeated, but neither was him able to gain a decisive victory over the coalition. As a result Europe is divided on two spheres of influence, the French and the British one, with several neutrals: Russia, Spain, Two Siciles, Sweden… Sitting on the fence. On the Americas Portugal, Spain and France still maintain control of their empires, but face the increasingly hostile USA.

This is a little scenario I created in about a week just because I wanted to play a XIX century surviving Portuguese Empire on a more or less plausible setting. Identifying the Peninsular War as the main event on its disintegration, I removed that from history, which had some serious effects over the course of the war. Basically Spain remained neutral through the conflict, which have the effect to free about 500 thousand troops on the French side. With that Napoleon although is not able to dominate Europe, can resist the coalition attempts to kick him off the throne, and a tense peace is reached in 1817.

As I said, it’s just a little scenario, I tweaked the journal entries of the USA to make its expansion more logical, added the viceroyalties and changed some diplomatic relations and AI preferences. Don’t expect total conversion mod or something like that. Hope you like it.
