The ladies of Clan Makuyi. Living in recluse, in a small valley that is said to be near Kyoto, should the imperial throne ever be in it’s most dire need.

These forty ladies, hand’ picked by the most devout of Shinto monks, heeding the whispers of the Sun Goddess, revealing her finest daughters are trained with the greatest of discipline and devotion. Not merely due to hard work thorough training makes for a better warrior, but because the chosen of Amaterasu are said to excell with natural grace in the art of wielding the bow.

None but the finest of Japan’s bowmen are tasked with testing them, and legend has it for thousands of years, they have never missed their mark, because their arrows are carried by the Sun Goddess herself, as she carries light to all of Japan, blessing it with life and beauty.

Blessed by every Emperor in honor of Amaterasu’s own blood, forty unique bows were made from the eldest cherry birch tree in the lands.
Light as a feather, but nigh impossible to draw, except for those forty chosen themselves.
With arrows that are said to lighten even the darkest of sky as they fly high and far in the Emperor’s glory.

Traveler… you have born witness to the Legend of The Cherry Blossoms of Clan Makuyi. The finest archers of the Imperial Guard, daughters of the Sun Goddess and stounch defenders of sacred Japan.

Will you gain the Emperor’s favour and request them to carve your own legend in the sands of time?

Hi again everyone. This is one of my final mods for shogun 2. I feel like I’ve done all I can to create unique things. And what remains are lesser things that I find less interesting to design. Last project details on the bottom.

Therefor I decided to end with a beutiful and very strong unit. A bow hero of 40 lady foot archers, in beautiful golden / red kimonos, magnificent make-up, and a warriors spirit unlike what you’ve ever seen ( Minus my Dragon Guard !)

The unit Is very capable in ranged and very capable in melee. Not strong enough to kill a melee hero but certainly strong enough to kill a standard melee unit, let alone ranged.

It has a wide variety of abilities, its very accurate, deadly, armored and flexible. Atop of being able to hold its own versus cavalry by having the mighty Naginata and a +10 bonus vs cav. So beware, these are not your usual bows you wittle down.

This mod is made in honor of the first mod I made as well as the creator, Makuyi. If not for Makuyi I would’ve arguably never begun modding since my entire adventure begun by opening and fixing the bug that was in Archers of the Wind.

Makuyi, I thank you for your work and fantastic ideas and I’ve made this entire mod to give testament to your brilliant framework and hopefully build on it in a super cool way. Honoring your brilliant ideas.

And in case this truly is my last mod, then it’s been one hell of a ride for Shogun 2 and I hope CA makes a game one day in the future I’ll find it worth my time to mod as well.
