Skoda 706RTO / Jelcz MEX 1962
Škoda 706RTO MEX was a city bus introduced in 1959, aimed for export.
It was produced in various versions, depending on the recipient. RTO MEX buses were
in service in Bulgaria, Cuba, China and North Korea. From 1962 the bus started production
in Poland as Jelcz 272 MEX.
The truck undercarriages were built in LIAZ Rýnovice and the bodywork of the MEX was done
either in Karosa Vysoké Mýto or in Jelcz.
