Imperial Gunnery School for Karl Franz and friends (sort of)
This mod adds the Imperial Gunnery School from Elspeth von Draken’s campaign to the rest of the empire, in the form of an expanded technology tree.
Because I’m pretty sure faction mechanics are hardcoded (edit: apparently not the case). Either that, or I’m just an idiot (edit: unfortunately confirmed). A technology tree works well enough for this purpose though (edit: it still does).
The mod and its tech-tree gives all the unit/faction buffs, and unique items, that you get from the Imperial Gunnery School, at the cost of prestige+cash rather than Schematics. It’s supposed to be fairly pricey for balancing reasons, but the technologies are all 1-turn researchs. There might be other balancing updates later on.
What is not in the mod is the Amethyst Armoury and any of its units, mostly because it doesn’t really fit Karl Franz and it would be a pain to mod (and scuffed as hell in a technology tree format). It also obviously doesn’t include any of Elspeth’s other faction mechanics like the Gardens of Morr.
Mods that simply change the existing technologies in the empire tech tree will work fine with this mod, but mods that add more rows of technologies will have issues. This is because in vanilla there are 9 rows of technologies (left to right), and this mod starts at row 10. If any other mod takes up any of the rows beyond 9, the mod most likely will not work.
