Children only ideology
New meme, precepts, rituals and ritual rewards for children-only playthrough, including ritual to banish grown up pawn and ritual rewards to recruit children and babies.
I’ve long since wanted to make a Fallout 3 Little Lamplight run with only kids in the colony.There were two issues tho: how to get new colonists, since child joiners are rare and babies are extremely rare, and how to get rid of colonists that grew up. I mean i can just banish them, but it will result in mood penalty and also i wanted something with more fanfare, like in Little Lamplight they first celebrated guy’s 16th birthday before kicking him out with his birthday hat still on. So i made a mode that does just that (without birthday hat) and also added some other kid-related ideology stuff.
Adds:
– Precept: Only Children. Comes in 3 flavors: Under 13, Under 16 and Under 18. Gives mood debuffs if there are colonists older then 13, 16 and 18 respectively.
– Precept: Child Learning. Adjusts speed of children learning need filling.
– Ritual reward: Child recruit. 50% chance of child recruit joining the colony.
– Ritual reward: Baby to recruit. 50% chance of a pod with a baby to rescue crashing nearby.
– Ritual reward: Gain growth points. All children participants will gain some random growth points.
– Ritual: Grown-up send-off party. When a colonist reaches age of 13, 16 or 18 depending on Only Children Precept, you can start a party, that ends up in this colonist banisment. Unlike default banisment, colonists will only gain mood debafs if ritual ends badly. Warning: if party ends terribly, then banished colonist becomes so resentful that gains berserk mental state and starts attacking everyone.
– Ritual: Storytelling. A gathering to share stories. Everyone will gather around the storyteller to listen to fairytales and spookystories.
