The Great Monster Mash Mix-Up
Something is not right with the stars. Forces beyond our ken are building, causing the horrors of the Estate to grow ever more restless and dangerous. What’s worse, the miasma of the Farmstead is seeping out, bringing the crystalline corruption with it! Why? Why did we have to breach that damnable seal!?
This mod is what the name implies, a monster mash mod that mixes up the vanilla enemies (including snakes and, once the Farmstead is entered, Husks) into a myriad of brand new hand-made monster parties that now populate the basic four dungeons as well as the Endless Harvest. The mashes included are tricky, stronger, and much more varied than the old faithfuls, but without straying too far from the core themes. Loading screen tips will be provided to keep you from being caught entirely off-guard.
Be forewarned, while this mod is balanced around Darkest difficulty, I definitely set out to hurt you and your adventurers in creative new ways. And I might be mildly sadistic. This mod isn’t tested for Stygian runs, so if you enable it on a Stygian or Bloodmoon Estate, you’re taking your life into your own hands. On the bright side, you’ll find Shards and Aegis Scales more easily, and some other monsters drop nice loot. You may even find your daily serving of Rice Stresspies!
This mod contains audio assets for the Husks and snakes. Nothing is edited there, so if mod interference happens, try rearranging the order of your mods.
Languages: English loading screen tips provided by me. Korean loading screen tips translated by S.Iris. Monster names are provided by Red Hook and so are functional in all languages.
As is standard, this item is a fanmade mod, not an official Red Hook product. It isn’t on them if something happens here. As for thieves trying to filch these plans for their own illicit purposes…? Well, my monsters eat trespassers.
