Boom’s Kongo Rework

This mod aims to rework Kongo and Mvemba in order to pull their bonuses together and make them a more coherent civ, especially regarding the Mbanza and Mvemba’s religious penalties. Toward this end, a new unique improvement has been introduced to Mvemba, the Nzo Ukisi, a Kongolese church that makes use of their high population and eagerness for conversion to generate faith.

• Mvemba renamed to Afonso I
• May not recruit Great Prophets or found a religion
• Gain the founder belief of your majority religion
• Forming or renewing a Religious Alliance converts all cities with a Holy Site to your ally’s religion and grants a free Apostle
• Gain the Nzo Ukisi unique improvement

• Improvement unique to Afonso, unlocked at Theology
• May only be built by Apostles on flat tiles
• +2 Culture
• +1 Amenity if adjacent to a Holy Site
• Gain Faith equivalent to population in the city following the majority religion
• Gain Tourism equal to Faith at Flight
• International Trade Routes from this city gain +2 Culture, Faith, and +4 Gold

• The Palace gains +4 slots for any Great Work
• Religious Works of Art, Sculptures, and Relics gain +2 Food and Production, and +3 Gold and Faith
• +50% Great Person points in cities with at least 10 population, doubled for cities with at least 20 population

• Unique district replacing the neighborhood, unlocks earlier at Guilds and costs less to build
• Must be built on Forest or Rainforest tiles
• +5 Housing regardless of Appeal
• +2 Food and Production if adjacent to the City Center
• +1 Gold per adjacent district
• Districts adjacent to a Mbanza gain +1 Great Person Point

• Unchanged

This mod may not be compatible with mods that add new types of alliances. This mod contains Lua, making it potentially cause desyncs in multiplayer, although I am not certain if this is the case. I may add compatibility to other popular mods if people request it. I will also consider strategic view art and historic moment art if thats something people want.
