Map is based on the kenshi map but not a 100% replication so few caveats;
The kenshi map is a bit too janky to work with for this game, it’s been smoothed over a bit to make it playable.
Water levels are a bit higher than normal so some areas are underwater, moreso to avoid extremely steep coast access (lorewise this this would set this map the in past of Kenshi, so can roleplay building the second empire)
Most of the coastline has had some oasis terrain added, this is intended to work around the fact surface water outflows don’t work without oasis terrain it even if they obviously have access to water.
Also, to avoid disappointment, The Great Desert does indeed have 10% water present…
