Description:
A sister of battle—repudiated but unbowed!

This is a rework of Vestal that aims to enhance some of her skills and make paths more balanced while keeping them in their intended roles. Some changes are pretty simple while others can be on the wilder side. Now compatible and adapted with Red Hook’s recent Vestal changes! Please check for any text in bold for relevant notes regarding those changes.

Changes
Wanderer

Those changes will affect all paths and will focus on enhancing Vestal’s role as a healing and support unit

  • Hand of Light changes from Melee to Ranged (to trigger the effect of Smoldering Firewood)
  • Illumination+ CRIT chance changes from 5% to 10%.
  • Divine Grace HP threshold changes from <25% to <=33%.
  • Divine Grace and Divine Grace+ now manage the same healing values as Red Hook’s most recent change
  • Divine Grace gains an additional effect with three conviction tokens of making the heal has a +50% chance of being a CRIT.
  • Divine Grace HP threshold changes from <33% to <=33%.
  • Divine Grace+ gains an additional effect with three conviction tokens of making the heal a guaranteed CRIT.
  • Ministrations and Ministrations+ launch range changes from 3, 4 to 2, 3, 4.
  • Mace Bash and Mace Bash+ no longer consume 2 Conviction tokens if the target does not have Block, Dodge, or Guard.
  • Divine Comfort and Divine Comfort+ now add a buff to allies to reduce the received amount of Bleed, Burn and Blight by 1 for 3 turns.
  • Mantra gains an effect with 2 Conviction tokens to heal 30% (same effect as default Wanderer Mantra+)
  • Mantra gains an effect with 3 Conviction tokens to trigger the effect of any Consecration (same effect as default Wanderer Mantra+)
  • Mantra+ effect with two Consecrations changes from healing a 20% to healing 30% and trigger the effect of any Consecration.
  • Mantra+ effect with 3 Conviction tokens changes from trigger the effect of any Consecration to add a buff of adding 6 HP if it’s Consecration of Fortitude or Consecration of Fortitude+ for 1 Battle.
  • Mantra+ effect with 3 Conviction tokens changes from trigger the effect of any Consecration to add a buff of +20% DMG if it’s Consecration of Light or Consecration of Light+ for 1 Battle.
  • Mantra+ buffs at 3 Conviction tokens do not stack.
Confessor

Those changes look to enhance her role at adding debuffs and token removal

  • Hand of Light and Hand of Light+ launch rank is now 2, 3. This is in order to match the changes Red Hook did. This attack has been modified with those considerations in mind.
  • Hand of Light now adds Weaken to enemies (same effect as default Confessor Hand of Light+)
  • Hand of Light+ damage changes from 1-2 to 2-3.
  • Hand of Light+ now removes Strength and Crit before adding Weak to enemies
  • Illumination ranges changes from 2, 3, 4 to 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • Illumination and Illumination+ now ignore Blind.
  • Judgement and Judgement+ now add Daze and Stun respectively at 3 Conviction tokens in order to match Red Hook’s changes.d.
  • Judgement CRIT chance changed from 5% to 10%.
  • Judgement effect with two conviction tokens changes from adding 2 Weaken tokens to adding 1 Blind token.
  • Judgement+ CRIT chance changed from 10% to 15%.
  • Judgement+ effect with two Conviction tokens changes from adding two Weaken tokens to adding 2 Blind tokens.
  • Mantra and Mantra+ changes on this mod have been reverted because Red Hook’s new version of Mantra is a fair one. It is possible to expect adjustments on a future version though.
Chaplain

Those changes look to enhance her role as party defense with Guard.

  • Hand of Light+ effect changes from adding Block to Block+ (Strength effect remains)
  • Ministrations and Ministrations+ keep the launch rank of 1, 2 to match Chaplain’s new role as a frontline tank. Additions to this change have been added in order to not make it a direct downgrade of Wanderer Ministrations and Ministrations+.
  • Ministrations now removes Horror in addition to removing DoT and Daze/Stun.
  • Ministrations+ now adds a 30% Stress RES if it removes Horror.
  • Mantra and Mantra+ have been adapted to Red Hook’s recent changes, keeping the same design philosophy but enhancing the healing.
  • Mantra heal bonus at 2 Conviction tokens changes from +10% to +20%
  • Mantra+ heal without Conviction changes 10% to 20%
  • Sanctuary+ adds two Block+ tokens on Vestal instead of one Block and one Block+
Seraph

Seraph received a minor change in Mantra to use Consecrations and enhance her role as a support specialized in Consecrations.

  • Mantra and Mantra+ now reset all her skill’s cooldown when she has 3 Conviction tokens.
Known issues
  • Wanderer Mantra+ is not consistent with the application of tokens and buffs. This problem is being investigated.
Future changes

I hope to keep enhancing this mod, and I have some ideas in mind, please feel free to say what you think about them!

  • Making that Mace Bash do not consume 2 Conviction tokens to ignore Guard, Dodge or Block if the target has neither of those tokens. NOW IT’S A REALITY!
  • Changes to Icon of The Light and Profane Scroll trinkets. Nope! The current changes are great and I won’t change them until further testing.
  • Creating new effects for Hand of Light for Wanderer, Confessor and Chaplain to empower next attacks The original idea was a “Next Mace Bash” effect, but launch rank for Wanderer and Confessor changed so this will need to be adapted.
  • Creating a completely new version of Hand of Light for Seraph (this one is unlikely given the current tools but hey, that won’t stop me from trying!) I will refrain from that one for now given that Wanderer Hand of Light range changed
