Belka
This mods adds Belka from the universe of Ace Combat (Strangereal). Inspired heavily by Germany, Czechia and Austria-Hungary.
They were a scientific, industrial, and military powerhouse that rivaled the Osean Federation, fighting multiple wars with them as early as the Osean War in the early 1900s, in which Belka became the first known user of combat aircraft. Despite its strength, Belka’s economy faced an economic crisis in the 1980s, which resulted in them cedeing territory, resource disputes and culminating in the Belkan War of 1995. Ending point of the war was June 6th, 1995 when Belka used 7 nuclear warheads to nuke their country and stop the enemy advance. Ultimately it has lost the war. Many Belkans would would never forget this defeat and worked against their former enemies, influencing conflicts to exact revenge.
In spite of its this, Modern Belka, whilst semi-isolated, remains a technological powerhouse, pioneering drone technology throughout the 21st century.
Belka’s Army was among the most powerful in the world. Relying on conscription they fielded huge troop numbers, spanning different branches and special units. Such as the belkan Reservisst. They possesed large numbers of demestically produced equipment. Had unrivaled Aces, many of whom would later serve in different countries. During the Belkan War they had defeated their eastern neighbours of FATO, Gebet, Recta and Ustio within a week. Their forces had swiftly captured large territories. However as the war dragged on and their forces wear down the enemy counterattacks puched them out of South Belka. Resulting in the nuclear detonations which ended the war.
Nowadays it is severly restricted. Fielding a small but modern army, with a large reserve stockpile of weapons and vehicles. Its airforce still suffering from the 1995 losses relies on drones. Belkan Army is the main enemy during the Belkan War (1995) as featured in the game Ace Combat 0: The Belkan War.
