Better Shield Drones Fixed
This is a fixed version of a handy mod – ‘Better Shield Drones!’
The original mod wholly replaced mechparts_arm.config instead of patching it. This breaks other mods *and* some vanilla arms as well- namely the beam drill and the solus katana.
This mod uses a .patch file to make the changes instead, meaning better (read: any) mod combatibility!
What this does:
Changes the functionality of the shield drone mech arm.
You can now summon up to 6 drones at a time, and they will orbit around you.
Shield drone health has been reduced from 8,000 down to 2,000
I haven’t done any balance testing yet – Suggestions are welcome!
I have to give credit to Nova Orbital for the idea (though this mod exists due to improper modding etiquette)
This mod is ENTIRELY INCOMPATABLE with the original mod.
(Your game won’t crash, but unsubsribe from the original just in case.)
