Tropico (Blank/Custom Country)
Create your own custom country, Tropico style. You’re the first president of your very own island, far from foreign powers but close enough for trade.
Minimalist Start:
– The game begins with the minimum required policies, all set to the lowest possible values, except for the term length (7 years) and executive term (no limit).
Challenging Gameplay:
– Manage with unlimited political power, making most of your country’s decisions at the very start. This setup phase is the most time-consuming part.
Default Events:
– No special events or triggers; everything runs on the default settings.
Starting Conditions:
– Population: 1,600
– Employment: All citizens start unemployed.
– Income: Starting income is $124.49Mn, with taxes on Gas (Petrol), Alcohol, and Tobacco set to the minimum to maintain a sandbox feel.
– Deficit: $2.27Bn due to initial funding and resource allocation from mainland governments. If not correctly managed, this will lead to borrowing and debt by the second turn. Check the high expenditure at the start, as you’re paying for initial setup costs.
Compatibility:
– Best played on its own, without other mods except the two "required" ones. Additional mods may add policies that artificially increase your starting deficit. Note that the initial debt for Tropico is set to 0.
