Description:

Welcome, please read more about how to enable flawless controller support to your game.

Currently supporting Rimworld with an Xbox One/360 controller.
[Next Update will be including: PS4 controller support.]

The benefits are worthwhile:
-Great for people with injuries and disabilities who find a controller easier to use than a keyboard and mouse.
-You can play on a comfortable couch, chair, or in bed.
-You can play on a big TV with a wireless or wired controller, with HDMI input.
-You can stream this to compatible devices, and play anywhere you like.
-You can try using VR, with the benefit of no awkwardly finding the right keys on the keyboard. It’s all in your hands on a straight forward controller setup.
-It’s compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox One Elite (with paddles) controllers.
-This will now never need any updating, and is compatible with any and all Rimworld mods.

It’s a straight forward, fluid, responsive setup that WORKS. You can even customize this to your own liking.

Save money with Controller Companion ($3) v Xpadder for $10.

Here’s the details on how to get it working:

First, you’ll need to download ‘Controller Companion’ (CC) from Steam. CC application doesn’t support the extra insertable paddles on the back of the Xbox One Elite Controllers, but stay with me, there’s a link below if you are hoping to do so…

You can download ‘Controller Companion’ from here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/.
If you’re looking to use an Xbox One Elite controller, try this application instead – https://www.rewasd.com/

Secondly, subscribe to this Workshop item once you’ve successfully installed ‘Controller Companion’. Next, you’ll just need to follow the instructions below, in order to get the most out of this.

Photos of the layout included in this Workshop item are included, please peruse.

1. Once you’ve installed Controller Companion (CC), and subscribed to this Workshop Item, follow the next steps.
2. This Workshop Item requires the Steam Big Picture utilisation of the Guide button to be DISABLED under your Steam application ‘Controller’ settings, and also in ‘Controller Companion’ settings too.

4. The bindings for Rimworld will show up for you in CC when you open the game up AFTER you have ‘Controller Companion’ opened and running on your desktop.
