Description:

My intention with these mods is to polish the base game by focusing on reviewing and polishing details of anything I think can be improved without leaving the "Kenshi essence" and trying to respect the LORE and original vision of the developers

This time it’s the turn of the people of Kenshi’s swamp and all its factions, I wanted to give them a little love by adjusting their equipment and defining their identity even more within the world of Kenshi

My conclusion was to give them a culture similar to that of the united cities but being towns where criminal gangs and the fight for power are more noticeable along with the cruelty of the swamp itself, I gave them weapons and equipment designed for life in the swamp

-VANILLA FRIENDLY: It doesn’t add anything that doesn’t already exist in the game, it just changes some parameters and fixes

SUMMARY: In general, most of the changes are revisions and adjustments to the equipment of each character from the different factions of the swamp, but there are also changes in the relationships between factions and some other things that will be detailed later:

THIS MOD AFFECTS:

SWAMPERS: armor and clothing revision along with their respective improvements, now the LONG COAT and SANDOSAGA are the preferred clothing of all people looking for comfort for life in the swamp, now absolutely everyone uses DRIFTER’S BOOTS to protect themselves from the water and mud of the swamp, those who protect the doors of the cities now use NAGINATAS to defend themselves from the spiders and raptors of the swamp

HOUNDS: being the main face of the swamp I wanted them to be similar to most of the people who live here, the only difference is that they prefer to wear the SLEEVELESS LONGCOAT and they like to fight with the NAGINATA KATANA since they not only face animals but also rival gangs

RED SABRES: I have dyed them with TRUE RED COLOR, and changed their virgin HORSE CHOPPERS for some chad RINGED SABRES, since the sabers themselves seemed to be very important for these bois, now they want to be authentic swordsmen, to contrast with those stupid silent ninjas, I think that a style of "attacking aggressively and with a lot of noise" would suit them well.

SWAMP NINJAS: I gave them NINJA RAGS (I don’t know why they didn’t use them in the first place) I also gave them boots so they don’t walk barefoot all over that sticky swamp floor, now they use GUARDLESS KATANAS since I want these to be one of the iconic weapons of the swamp.

STONE RATS: I gave these guys a more distinctive uniform, now they’re the only ones around here wearing TIN CANS so you’ll recognize them easily, and the most important thing is that I tried to fix some things with the bar event (I don’t know if it’s intentional but I honestly hated it happening) since with some options they will attack you but it seems on some occasions to start a war between all the SHARK factions, I didn’t eliminate it completely but I tried (or am trying, more testing is needed) to make it less problematic, now they will simply fight you but only the bar guards will attack them if they’re inside, and they won’t start a civil war (it’s just a fight in a bar, it shouldn’t escalate that much)

BLACKSHIFTERS: There are not many changes in them because the truth is that they already had a solid identity, I changed their heavy weapons for GUARDLESS KATANAS since I want to give them an air like a casino controlled by some kind of "yakuza" and I gave them some very stylish glasses for the dealer, the cooler dealer.

GRAYFLYERS: These guys are smugglers but they also seem to be some kind of "Robin Hood" style vigilantes so I decided to give them ASSASSIN’S RAGS since it seems to me that it is a fairly specialized type of equipment, they are honorable so I wanted to slightly improve their combat capabilities by making them authentic warriors and giving them a SMUGGLING RONINS style.

TWIN BLADES: (I’ve never seen these guys before) but a quick look at their lore suggests they are organ traffickers and extortionists, so I gave them some FLESH CLEAVERS to make them look like real psychopathic swamp butchers.

FACTION LEADERS: Adjust the clothing of each boss according to their faction, the swamp leaders now have very good quality KATANAS to show their status as leaders (except RED SABERS and STONE RATS), each katana would have engraved the name of the faction to which they belong and are the representation of these same, that is why whoever wields them is the one who leads them.

UNIQUE RECRUITS: I gave them clothes (low quality) so you get that feeling that they’ve been here for a while and adapted to life in the swamp

Miu: I gave her a NAGINATA (since this is good against animals since she was possibly traumatized by losing her partner in the spider attack)

Green: I gave her good clothes for crossbowmen like the now typical SANDOSAGA

The others now use GUARDLESS KATANAS since they are the new typical weapon of the swamp
